GE WR55X10942 Refrigerator Main Control Board

I ordered this universal board for my fridge from Amazon.com. I took advantage of the FREE shipping. It arrived quickly in a timely fashion. It was a sealed GE factory board and not a brand X board. First class! The board came with clear instructions to be used for your particular refrigerator.

In my case, I removed the small rear panel on the back side of the fridge to expose the board. You then unplug the fridge, pull out the connector plugs from the board, remove the ground wire under a screw, remove the board off of 4 plastic standoff spacers, install the new board onto the spacers and then plug in all the wire connectors onto the new board. My new board had many more parts on it then the old board. You cannot plug the wrong connector into a wrong socket. Each connector has a different number of pins on it so any one plug will fit into only one socket.

In some cases a wire needs to be cut on one of the plugs per the instructions, but for my model this was not neccessary. Also, for BOTTOM FREEZER refridgerators, you need to take the lower panel off exposing the compressor and check if you have a start capacitor on your fridge. (The diagram shows you where the start capacitor would be located if you have one). If you have one, you need to cut a ground wire off a plug. In my case no wire needed to be cut as I had no start capacitor on my fridge. In short all I had to do was to swap out boards on the fridge and then put the panels back in place with screws.

For tools I needed a Phillips screw driver, but to remove the old board a pair of needle nose plyers helped removing the old board off the stand off legs as they needed to be squeezed before the board could be lifted off the standoffs one at a time. There are 4 plastic standoff legs holding the board in place. I didn't need to cut any wires but if you did need to cut one or two a small wire cutter would be handy. Otherwise a pocket knife would do the job.

If you follow the clear instructions you won't make a mistake. In my case I could replace the board again now that I did it once in less then 5 minutes. Doing it the first time, so you don't mistake, should take you no more the 15 to 20 minutes being very careful.

One last thing, THE BOARD FIXED THE REFRIGERATOR! (Please understand after reoplacing the board and turning the fridge on again, once plugging it back into the wall, will require hours of operation before the fridge and freezer are cold enough to turn the compressor off. In my case, with an empty fridge, I got tired of waiting to see if it would turn off after three hours of operation watching it. When I checked the next day, it was cold and not running. Everything was working just fine. It took a long time before it shut off even when the fridge was empty. (So be patient).

You can do the repair yourself and save a lot of money! The part from Amazon cost about half the list price of the board, no tax, and I also saved the cost of the repairman's labor. In my case I had actually called a repairman, two weeks later he had the board but never showed up on his appointment. I fired him and did the job myself quicker and for less money.

High-definition television (or HDTV, or just HD) refers to video having resolution substantially higher than traditional television systems (standard-definition TV, or SDTV, or SD). HD has one or two million pixels per frame, roughly five times that of SD. Early HDTV broadcasting used analog techniques, but today HDTV is digitally broadcast using video compression. Some personal video recorders (PVRs) with hard disk storage but without high-definition tuners are legitimately described as "HD", for "Hard Disk", which can be a cause of confusion.

The term high definition once described a series of television systems originating from the late 1930s; however, these systems were only high definition when compared to earlier systems that were based on mechanical systems as few as 30 lines of resolution.lcd led plasma tv The British high definition TV service started trials in August 1936 and a regular service in November 1936 using both the (mechanical) Baird 240 line and (electronic) Marconi-EMI 405 line (377i) systems. Color broadcasts started at similarly higher resolutions, first with the US NTSC color system in 1953, which was compatible with the earlier B&W systems and therefore had the same 525 lines (480i) of resolution. European standards did not follow until the 1960s, when the PAL and SECAM colour systems were added to the monochrome 625 line (576i) broadcasts.
Since the formal adoption of Digital Video Broadcasting's (DVB) widescreen HDTV transmission modes in the early 2000s the 525-line NTSC (and PAL-M) systems as well as the European 625-line PAL and SECAM systems are now regarded as standard definition television systems. In Australia, the 625-line digital progressive system (with 576 active lines) is officially recognized as high definition.

My 2 year old bottom freezer refrigerator started to have the classic symptoms, not always cooling, one second clicking sound when not cooling. Some times the refrigerator cooled but not the freezer part. Sometimes neither part cooled while the fridge started to click. (Clicking is from relay noise).

Improves on one of the great all time lenses Nikon 85mm f/1.4G AF-S Nikkor Lens

I own the prior version of this lens (the non-AFS 85mm 1.4), and it's one of my all time favorites. There's something almost magic about it for me - I almost can't take a bad picture with it.

So when Nikon released the updated version, I was a little hesitant to upgrade - at least until I went to audition the new lens in one of the big NYC camera shops. After using the new lens firsthand, I just couldn't resist. Now, I own the new one, and the older one is on eBay.

To be clear, by my eye, there's not a huge difference in image quality, as the older lens was already excellent on all counts. The updated version is maybe slightly sharper in the corners on an FX body, colors seem perhaps a bit more vivid, and it seems a bit less prone to flare when you point it directly at a bright light source. It focuses a few inches closer than its predecessor and weighs maybe an ounce or two more. Still, it's not like one is "bad" and the other "good" - just slightly different, and not at all a dramatic difference for most users.

To me, where the compelling value comes from is the new AFS focusing setup, making autofocus nearly instant and incredibly accurate. Thanks to the wide f/1.4 aperture, you always get a bright image, and on both my D3 and D300, focus is blindingly fast and dead-on accurate. This was my only real gripe with the previous lens, and I found myself often either missing shots because of the slow autofocus, or I'd spend a lot of energy manually focusing instead of composing the exact shot I wanted. Now, with the new 85mm f/1.4G, I get fantastic image quality, plus much better and faster handling - and to me, that makes it worthwhile.

Still, the older lens is no slouch, and I suppose if I had neither one and was on a tight budget, I'd certainly have no trouble going with the older lens. There seems to be maybe a $500 premium to get the AFS version, although that might narrow as more lenses get into the market and we see some better discounting.

Nikon 85mm f/1.4G AF-S Nikkor Lens for Nikon Digital SLR

Of course, if you're questioning whether to upgrade, the pro-grade Nikon lenses hold their value very well, and although I haven't sold mine yet, I'm thinking I'll get 80% of what I paid for it when it was new several years ago, and that makes the transaction easier to handle.

Definitely recommended.

Great Belt!
So my snow blower broke. I googled around to see common problems why snow blowers stop spinning/working. I found out it might be the belt. I opened the snow blower and the original belt it came with was tattered and shredded up. I called around to see how much it would be to fix.....was givin estimates as high as $200!!!!! Ordered this belt and put it on with a friend in about 10 mins. Snow blower is now working as good as first day. I compared the original belt with this belt and this one is made from A material that is A LOT STRONGER!!!! Only thing I suggest is turning the belt inside out when you put it on so it runs smoother. When you get this you'll see one side is smoother than other.

LEGO Creator Highway Transporter

I just bought this for my 23 year old self and this set has rekindled my past love of Lego. This set uses some Technic pieces and mostly Lego bricks, as opposed to some of the newer sets that use large, custom shaped pieces. The design is very detailed, and given the fact that there is more than 1200 pieces will provide someone with hours of fun building. But Wait There's More!The Highway Transporter set comes with instructions for 3, That's Right - THREE different instructions that utilize almost all of the pieces to build 3 completely different, but cool sets. The design of the Highway Transport also reminds me of some of the more classic Lego sets because it has such a high level of detail due to the use of many small bricks, but also durability due to the use of a Technic frame.

Since it is possible to build 3 different Lego sets with this one awesome product, I believe that this review deserves to address all 3 of the possible outcomes.

1. Tow Truck + car
The truck has a nice durable frame, good detail in the cab of the truck and a working lift in the back. The lifting crane extends outwards, changes angle and can pull the car up with the winch. The car is also fairly durable and well designed. Only complaint is that the front wheels of the truck do not turn, so the truck is doomed to only drive in straight lines. Overall a good choice for the first build, but I will be taking it apart to build the crane next - 4.5 stars!

2. Crane
The crane is probably the most impressive looking of the designs, but once built, actually feels like the cheapest. The boom arm is "extendable" by way of a push pin that locks it in place, but this feels lame in comparison to other lego cranes. Also the crane does rotate, but due to overly creative joint design it is very unstable and tilts off of the truck easily. The overall length of the crane truck is impressive, 5 wheels per side, but due to the lack of steering the truck only rolls forward and back. In its entirety the crane truck model is impressive to look at, but the functionality and mechanical design is severely limited. 3 Stars...

3. Truck with Trailer + 2 cars
The last model, the one on the box, is worth waiting for. Build the trailer truck last, as it is easily the coolest model of the 3 and you will be hard pressed to want to take this thing apart. The front truck has a good steering mechanism, detailed interior with removable roof for access, and a nice realistic look to it. The trailer is very sturdy, despite its thin looks, and is fully functional. The top ramp lowers to allow cars to drive up it, and the bottom ramp acts as a second brace to keep the top ramp up in place. The technic base of the models makes the truck and trailer very strong, but the brick exterior makes this model look so much better than comparable technic models. The cars fit the trailier nicely, but seem to be slightly oversized when compared to other Lego Creator cars. Overall, this design meets all of my expectations and was a blast to build. 5 Stars easily!

REVIEW

I did pretty extensive legwork selecting a television. It was the first widescreen TV I've bought and was going into a new home, so I wanted it to be right. My experience was that I first had to narrow down which technology I wanted to buy. I found that rear projection TVs such as DLP or the Sony variation SXRD looked best to me -- Plasma and LCD were too "pixel"-y for me, and I appreciated rear projection's more film like look. You need to look for yourself at the local video store -- this part of the quest is a question of taste.

The short review of the television is that I found the high end Sony TVs to be best in class, and, after an hour or more of watching them side by side in several environments, could not discern any quality difference with the Samsung. I preferred the Samsung's styling, user control, remote design, and price. My online research indicates that the Samsung is highly configurable to industry standards by a qualified "tweaker". I have also read good things about Samsung's customer service and appreciated that there were no specific issues raised by online enthusiasts, in contrast to several issues such as a green blob discussed repeatedly in regard to the Sony SXRDs. I have had no issue at all with mine.

I'm very satisfied with the television and highly satisfied with Amazon's price, delivery and price drop policy.

The TV is very responsive to quality input -- standard def is OK, but the better the signal, the happier you'll be. I'm looking at DishNetwork satellite, upscaled DVD, and Hires DivX. These 1080i sources are great, and the TV is still limited by signal -- I've seen Bluray demo material on this unit and its yet another step up.

I found sports and high action scenes to look very good -- no rainbows that I can see. I felt that the image was sharper and color range better than other manufacturers' units, except for Sony's XBR series. The Sony I found to be identical in quality, with color and saturation differences that were subject to change based on settings and pretty subjective as to "best".

I feel like I got a bargain compared to the Sony XBR, without having to give up anything. This unit lacks cablecard slots and PIP capability, but my satellite service makes both of these a non-issue. They are available in another unit from Samsung which has identical picture quality. The Amazon price was quite a bit less than any other seller I could find.

Totally positive experience so far -- I've had the unit for about six weeks as of this writing.

Started this product on May 26th, 2009...by August 28th I had lost 46 pounds! This SUPER SLIM Pomegranate is amazing. It's now October 26th and the weight is still off. I take this product every few days or so just to help maintain the weight loss. This product made it so easy for me to transition my eating habits from nothing but bad habits to a more healthy one. It helps with the food cravings so when you really want those chocolate chip cookies and normally could eat 6 or so at a time you'll be happy to find that after 2 cookies you're full and don't even want that 3rd one. I'm the proof this product works....started these pills at 155 pounds wearing a size 14 jeans, and I'm only 5 foot tall. Now I'm 109 pounds and wearing size 3 & 5 jeans! My 16 year old daughter is going nuts because I'm stealing all of her clothes!!! But other than the physical changes this product helped me with emotional changes too. Losing the weight gave me more confidence and it's nice to actually feel good about what I see in the mirror now. My husband, god bless him, was happy with me the way I was and didn't want me losing any weight but he admits that seeing me happy and confident about myself is nice to see again. The people who write the reviews here that this product doesn't work, or is fake, or is a waste of money obviously isn't following the directions on how to use this product...46 pounds in three months!!!???? I've used this for a few years now and ended up having to buy it online after Lowe's and WalMart discontinued it here locally. This product, hands down, is the best I've found when killing wild trumpet vines, poison oak, poison sumac and unwanted shrubs and trees that pop up in my yard. i collect antique rose bushes and on several occasions, have had trees show up right on top of one of my rose bushes. The product won't harm the plants and vegetation you want to keep but does an awesome job of killing the rest of the woody, vine type plants around them, even if the unwanted stuff is right on top of something you need to keep. You just cut the undesired vegetation and use a small paint brush to apply the oily type brush killer at the cut ends. Usually, I've only had to apply one time as well. I highly recommend this product.

This is a great interactive toy for babies who love music.....Especially when they are learning to sit up on their own and good for tummy time too. The SmartGuard motion light with security camera protects you and your loved ones 24 hours a day and is quick and easy to install. The 180° motion sensor can detect movement more than 30 feet away. Once motion is detected the powerful 300 watt halogen floodlight immediately lights up the area. Then one of the three audio recordings warns intruders that they are not welcome. At the same time, the built-in color video camera records the entire incident on a removable 1GB SD card, which can be removed and video played back on any computer. This allows you to identify the intruder and send the video to the police or your insurance company if needed.

Great light for home security with decent video
I have owned this light for 1 year now and i am very happy with it.Setup time was about an hour,and everything went smooth.I wanted to wait on my review to see how happy i was with this,and i can say that this is a great home security defense item to have.This device has a real good halogen light on it,and comes with a powerful 500 watt light in it.It also have 3 preset audio announcements with a built in speaker as well.A dog barking,warning you our trespassing,or another greeting which i can't remember off hand.The best feature on this though is the low profile video camera built into it.Its right above the PIR sensor and it works great.Once you setup the date(I recommend a laptop to set the date/time) you put in the SD card and it'll start recording 20 second video clips.
So when your out and not home this will record anything that sets of the sensor.The videos our decent as well, and records in 640x480 AVI format.You can use windows media or realplayer to play it back.I actually use a Linux OS and use totem movie player,which lets me take pictures from the video.All in ALL i recommend this light and you won't go wrong with it,once you get it installed & running properly.It comes with a 1 gb SD card ,but i highly recommend a 2gb card so you'll get at least 30 days recording out of it.

My only real complaint about this laptop is after 8 months of bumps and bangs the AC adapter cable has gotten noticeably loose; however it still charges the battery reliably.

My goal was to take the cheapest laptop I could get and stuff it with the most ram and the biggest hard drive, and it worked.

The laptop gets the job done and has already survived a couple of airport trips. I like the glossy screen, which while all newer laptops have this is a major improvement over older screens that had trouble with glare. The built in SD card reader has been a real bonus, and the laptop generally runs fairly cool with about 1-1 1/2 hour battery life. (Although on energy saver the screen gets very dim when on the battery.)

The video card is a Geforce 8200m and can play some games, and it has no trouble with Youtube videos or movies. You are stuck with Vista on this, but turning everything down to "Classic" settings makes it a fairly speedy machine.

It would have been nice to have PCMCIA slots and a docking station, but you can't have everything, especially at this price.

Best Chipmunk movie collectibles I've seen so far...

Okay, so I just saw the Squeakquel, being a big fan of the Chipmunks going back to watching them as a small child in the '80's. As expected, it was a great time. Dave literally phoned it in this time, but "Uncle" Ian was back to exploit the Chipettes, and it was completely hilarious! Anyway, I had seen these Ty beanies of Alvin, Simon, Theodore, and Britney on Amazon a short time before and already knew I wanted them. I have a nice toy trio already that came with the DVD release of the first film in a Best Buy gift set, but I was always unsatisfied with their small size. These Ty beanies are much closer to the actual size of the Chipmunks in the live-action/CGI films. Still a bit short, but much closer (possibly more accurate to actual chipmunk size? I really don't know though). So, I was thrilled when my package from Amazon arrived and much larger (but not too large) chipmunks than the ones I already have filled the box. These new Ty chipmunks look good, and I am giving them the full five stars because I do love them, but they could still have been better. They're big enough to satisfy me without being too big, like a plush probably would be, and they have nice detail. However, they could have better detail. Most specifically, they could have the darker areas of their fur that form stripes, some of which (in the film) imply eyebrows. This is something I'll miss in the tiny plush toys I have that I will probably get rid of after making this upgrade. Their tails in the film versions are longer than these Ty incarnations too, but that's no biggie. I have yet to acquire Theodore, as I could only buy three when I ordered these with a gift card, and Brittany was a must (I'll get Theo ASAP, for sure), so I can't comment on him, but I can say that I think of the three I own, Simon has the best likeness since the glasses add detail to his overall look (wearing his blue hoodie, of course). Without the eyebrow enhancements, Alvin isn't so striking, despite having that nicely made hoodie with stitched on "A", and Brittany is very cute, but she also looks the most like a toy out of the three. Still, I'm thankful that she actually does have a center forehead stripe, and her outfit is very cute, though it does have fraying edges on the jacket's bottom hem. She sports a cute ponytail like in the film, but I had to work with it a bit to make it lay right due to the way they chose to craft it (it's stuffed itself, like her actual tail). Regardless of the nit-picky things, she looks great and all three of these beanies do, and I anticipate Theodore will look great when I get him as well. They just better not stiff us fans and cancel the line before making Jeanette and Eleanor! Oh, and what's the deal with Alvin not wearing his cap? He doesn't wear it in the Squeakquel (if I remember correctly), nor does the Ty beanie wear one! Alvin always wore his hat! I wouldn't be surprised if they come out with a cap-wearing version if/when the other two Chipettes come out though, forcing me to buy Alvin all over again, ha.

I bought this micro card for my AT&T 8925 Tilt (HTC TYTN) phone and it works perfectly. I took a chance that the phone would support that size and it does (the AT&T specs list the max capicity as 2GB). I recommend also purchasing an adapter so you can use it as an SD card if you have a digital camera that takes that format. It would have been nice to have that as a package deal as opposed to giving the thumb drive adapter - but it's still a deal even with the few extra dollars for the adapter. If you have the Tilt and want plenty of storage space go ahead and buy this card.

Great card - but be aware that it is not a class 6 card.

So every digital camera now a days does some sort of video shooting as well as still photography. With a 32gb card, I doubt that you will ever run out of space...however you should be aware that if the card goes bad you will have a lot more to lose.

32gb for less then $199 gives you the ability to store a lot of information and from what I am seeing, people are even using these to install operating systems and booting up from them. This is a techy type process but it is possible none the less and can be done.

Read/Write Speeds - In my tests I inserted the card into a reader into a usb port on my Macbook Pro laptop and used a utility to test the read/write speed. It is the same utility I would use to test a Hard drive. I came up with an average of about 16-17-/mb/s read and about 10mb/s for write.

It is a great card and works perfect....I paid a bit more for it when I bought it but it is GREAT to see Amazon dropping the price as market conditions change.

I have used several laptops (work and personal), including the hyped ThinkPad T61, T500, T400.
But the Acer Timline series laptops have really surprised me in terms of build quality, price, form factor, and battery life.
If these are the things you care most, the Timeline is for you!
My T400 never got passed 4hrs at the lowest CPU setting and LCD brightness. The Timeline consistently gives me over 5hrs (not the 8hrs+ as they claimed though) using Windows XP.
Windows XP installation (over the default Vista Premium) was a straightforward task, as Acer website provides XP drivers so you don't have to search anywhere. I tried both the 15.6" and the 14" version and personally I'd like the 14" for its screen size, though both share the same 1" thin dimension and similar battery life. The 15.6" keyboard comes with a numeric keypad.
For those people who complained about CPU spiked at 100% at random or eject button locked up the laptop, I had the same problems. After I updated it with the latest Intel graphics driver and Acer BIOS, all the problems went away!
I am usually picky about what I use, but I have to give Acer a thumb up for such a great job. After all, it only costs $549!
Can't say the same for Lenovo ThinkPad which costs more, thicker (>1.2"), and only average battery life.
What's the point of having wireless internet if you must plug in your power regularly? With the Timeline, I can truly roam most of my day without fear of running out of power.
My only complain about the 14" version: if the mouse pad could move to the left about 1", that would be perfect. As I type, my right palm occasionally touches the mouse pad that causes the mouse cursor to move. If Acer did this on the 15.6" version, why not on the 14"?

Samsung LN46A860 Fantastic TV-great customer support

This is the best TV I have ever owned and if you are in the market for a 46" LCD, Amazon has a great price. I purchased mine back in October for $700 more than the current price - sometimes it pays to wait I guess. Sound, picture, features are all fantastic. After checking many review sites I went with this unit and am glad I did. The touch of color (TOC) is subtle but shows just enough to add a nice aesthetic look.

I rated this TV five stars although I did have a minor issue detailed below. Samsung took care of the issue and the overall TV has continued to please. The only negative, which I have to preface is known by Samsung and they take care of promptly is a rare "chipping" issue with the TOC frame setup on some of the 750s and 850/860s due to a few bad shipments (happened to mine). However, Samsung promptly fixed this free of charge with no known reoccurrence (as per the repairman that has done several of these repairs). Samsung's customer service, at least on LCD TVs, is outstanding with both email and phone call followups to insure that the customer is satisfied with the repair work. The repairman assigned by Samsung came out, replaced the entire TOC frame on the TV and I haven't had any other issues. As stated above, the actual electronics/LCD elements of this TV itself are fantastic and with Samsung readily and promptly fixing the frame issue, I still have to say that this was a great purchase.

The Super Bowl never looked better and the 120hz performed beautifully. Our friends couldn't get over the picture they were watching as the Steelers one upped the hapless Cardinals in fantastic receiving catches.

I just upgraded from an Curve 8310 to the Bold. In fact, this is my 3rd BlackBerry, starting way back with the 8700. First thing to point out . . . the Bold is BIG. It's actually much larger than the 8310. In fact, it's really closer to the 8800-series in size. This isn't really a bad thing though. It feels comfortable in hand. The back appears to me made of real leather, although it's probably synthetic. I like the back because it adds some much-needed grip all while looking very classy. The keyboard is also very easy to use. There was very little learning curve needed going from the 8310 to the Bold.

What really makes the Bold "beautiful" is the HUGE screen. I thought the screen on my previous Curve was great. The screen on the Bold is twice the resolution (480x320 vs. 320x240). It is absolutely amazing. Not only is it stunning for movies and photos, it makes browsing the web and simply reading emails so much easier. You can fit significantly more information on the screen. The same auto-backlighting feature found on the Curve is also on the Bold. It senses the lighting conditions of the room and adjusts backlighting. I love this feature.

Much improved over the Curve is the multimedia software. Playing movies, viewing photos and listening to songs are very easy to do. The functionality rivals standalone media players. This application coupled with a big screen and a large MicroSD card, makes this a viable iPod Classic replacement. Like the 8310, the Bold also features a 3.5mm Stereo/Audio Jack built-in. This means no adapter is needed to use your own high quality headphones or earbuds.

Also like the Curve, it includes real GPS. This is awesome and in my opinion the best feature showing up in modern phones. The signal is acquired quickly and it is very accurate. Google Maps and BlackBerry Maps work perfectly with the built-in GPS. You can also pay a monthly fee for turn-by turn navigation via AT&T Navigator.

The biggest improvements for the Bold were actually listed in my Curve 8310's review as "Cons". BlackBerry added the much needed 3G (The Bold is MUCH faster than the Curve), Wi-fi, Video recording capabilities and FINALLY the external memory is accessible without removing the battery; via a small door on the side. It's like BlackBerry was listening to the customer's needs, maybe they read my review. :)

They hit this one out of the park.

I specified the model on the title as the reviews for all Sony FW laptops are shared amongst all models in Amazon. I consider this model to be a great purchase. Contrary to many modern laptops, it actually looks great, with very modern styling that is suitable for both home and business users. The screen has a different aspect ratio (16:9) than most computers, which is more suitable for watching DVDs or comparing side by side documents than the traditional 4:3. The 2.26 P8400 is the same processor found on most FW computers, even those costing hundreds of $ more, 3GBs of RAM, which is the maximum usable RAM in Vista SP1 32bit, 250GBs of RAM which is enough for most users,etc.

The graphic card on this machine is the ATI HD3470, with 256mb of dedicated memory. This card will handle your graphics a lot better than the integrated Intel cards found on some higher priced FW models here in Amazon and is one of the best features of this particular model. It is not a high end graphic card, but it can handle the necessities of most users, including those who use their laptops for casual gaming.

I found an inconsistency on Amazon's product description for this model. In the "network" section, it specifies that this model comes with Intel 4965 wifi chipset, which is not the case. It comes with Atheros wifi (N capable). This is not really a bad thing, you won't notice a performance difference, but the fact that it has the Atheros wifi chipset instead of the Intel one is the main reason why it can't be labeled as a "Centrino 2" laptop, even though it has all other required Intel technologies. The sticker on the laptop will say "Core 2 Duo" instead of "Centrino 2". Again, this is only a label. Performance-wise, it's plenty fast. It comes with some trial software that some users will prefer to uninstall (like me), but this is the case for almost all notebook manufacturers and it shouldn't take too long to do so. Overall, highly recommended.

I purchased a new DSLR, an upgrade from my trusted Nikon D50: the D90.

I wanted to get the fastest and most suited 8GB card to accompany my shoots and needed something that would keep up with the Nikon's 30MB/s capability.

After wandering the web for the best card I found the following information: "the cards offer a 50 percent speed boost from 20MB/s cards, and the Nikon D90 is the industry's first dSLR to take advantage of the speed.

That means that with the 30MB/s Extreme III, the D90 can record 39 6MB JPEG images at 4.5 frames per second in continuous shooting mode. Getting them off is almost as fast, too, when used with SanDisk's new ImageMate Multi-Card USB 2.0 reader/writer."

Note that some reviewers on here gave the card a bad rating because of lack of speed. However, it is his own equipment that is the bottle neck so that is not the best of sources to judge on.

This card is fast fast fast in my D90 and I have since purchased a spare one.

The term high definition once described a series of television systems originating from the late 1930s, starting with the British 240 line and 405 line black-and-white systems introduced in 1936, and including the American 525-line NTSC system established in 1941. Wowee...what a zoom! The last Canon camera I owned was a 35mm film Canon AE1 Program SLR. I didn't like it that much then even though there was nothing really wrong with it, it never really produced great pictures and that was the reason I didn't go for Canon all these years. Recently I really want a camera with a big zoom but didn't feel like investing in a costly DSLR, especially with a big expensive zoom lens so I looked around. Reviews tend to favor the Canon SX10 IS (I prefer Nikon and Sony for digital cameras) so I bought this one via Amazon.com. Amazon really came through for me. I got it quickly and in perfect condition...how can you beat free shipping?
Since I bought this mostly for the zoom capability, I'm going to focus on that. Reviews tell me to expect distortions at 20X zoom but so far I couldn't tell of any distortion in the pictures that I took. Perhaps the pros can tell but I'm no pro. I'm very happy with that. At 20X handheld, the image through the LCD or viewfinder wavers wildly since I shake like a wet dog but thanks to the superior image stabilization (I read the reviews on that) the shot image is usually rock solid -- I managed to blur a couple in poor light.
I also shot videos at various zoom and again, with image stabilization, I still can't get over how rock solid my videos look.
Having been a point and shoot person for a long time, I'm still getting over the shock of learning this sophisticated camera, with so many features...slowly I'm getting a hang of it.
What is weird about this camera (or perhaps with Canon?) is that it won't use the higher ISO settings while on AUTO. I think the highest it did was ISO 400 and it let me push it to ISO 800, even though the picture would be hopelessly underexposed. I quickly learned to switch to Program mode (P) so it's not a big deal.
One feature I think is very cool is the capability to do custom white balance and even cooler is it lets me program it to the Shortcut button. So with one button push I can calibrate the white balance to take indoor pictures, which normally would be totally reddish yellow, that look like they were outdoors, in correct colors.

So far I really like this camera. I didn't really like the fact that it uses 4 AA batteries. I had really bad experiences with a Sony digital camera that uses 2 AA. The batteries only last about 1 hour of power on. I used to have to carry 6 to 8 spare AA which was a total pain. For this camera, I got Duracell NiMH 2000 mAH rechargeable batteries that suppose to hold charge up to a year. So far, I had the camera on for 4 hours, taking all kinds of zoom images without signs of running out yet. I wish this camera would tell me how much battery power I have left. Apparently it will only tell me to change depleted batteries.

All of that I waited I have this wonderful camera only two weeks in my hand and I must to learn many of their functions, but until now the pictures and videos that it produces seems to me superb. I'm very happy with this purchase and also I'm sure that with practice, the results will be better.

Amazing sound and picture for the price I had wanted a new tv for a long time so I went to many stores and looked online for the best deal for the best picture. It was tough. Prices were sky high and the quality was poor. Finally, I found the toshiba 40inch and fell in love. I literally stood in circuit city for an hour staring at the tvs and comparing the quality of picture and sound. This beat out the samsung and sharps, and was cheaper too! Full HD 1080p, great sound, great sleek design, and at the time it was on sale too! Ive had this tv for about a month and have had no problems at all! I love it! It looks and sounds amazing with my xbox 360 and HD dvd player, and I have hooked up a bose 2.1 speaker system to it just because i wanted to. This tv is great for anyone who wants a full 1080p tv with great quality for a decent price.

Warranty is big I wanted to be sure if I had a problem I could get it fixed near by my house I called support and in 1min I was talking to a human with only one touch. Best of all the repair center is only 5 miles away. Again Nice! Now what will make this an awesome tv only time will tell. A bad tv last a year or two a good tv last 5 to 8 an awesome tv wil last 8 to 15 years. I have a 27 inch Sony that at least must be 10 years old and still looks great. It has only been two weeks, needs more time. Would I recommend to a friend to buy YES, but explain that this is not a super high end tv just a nice tv for a nice price.

Review from a PC user This past "black friday" I was tempted to upgrade my current laptop to something smaller. My HP 17" laptop was like a brick and I wanted something that did not weigh a lot. I originally was planning on spending half a grand on a cheap laptop. I guess I ended up spending much more! I first went with a Dell computer and liked it a lot. The price was great and it had the best specifications I could find for the money. Unfortunately I had to return it due to some minor issues. The problem I had with making the initial purchase at first was the price. It cost almost five hundred dollars more than a comparable PC with even better specs. The hard drive was also too small and only came with 2gb of ram. Since I absolutely need to run some Windows programs, i'd have to also purchase a licensed copy of Windows. To me, 160gb on such an expensive computer is just not acceptable. It seems that Apple always has put smaller hard drives in their computers. To be honest, until I opened and used my Macbook I felt really guilty for paying so much for a laptop. Generally I don't pay over a grand for a laptop and I build my own desktop computers based on what I need. After using the computer for awhile, my guilty conscience went away very fast. I won't lie about this. I loved this laptop from the start. When I first saw the picture of the new Macbook I thought it kind of looked ugly! In person it definitely is not. It's probably one of the best designed computers ever. First thing I did was upgrade to a new 500gb hard drive and 4gb of ram. Upgrading these is stupid easy. Anyone can do it. I'm so glad Apple has decided to make upgrading easier for people. My old ibook took over 2 hours and the removal of over 40 screws to upgrade the hard drive! This Macbook requires the removal of....ONE screw to access the hard drive. The price is the biggest negative. I feel it's worth paying extra for because of the build quality, but it's still too high. I think this laptop should be a hundred less. I'm not bothered by the lack of Firewire. I don't use firewire that much to really miss it that much. I do however wish it had some other high speed port such as eSATA. USB is just unbearably slow to me. I'm sick of Windows XP, so I decidn't run unless you run some DOS commands. When using this work-around every single device was working perfectly fine! My main computer is a PC desktop, but i'm liking this Macbook so much I might make the switch to Mac OS full time. I also installed Vmware Fusion and that really helps when theres a program I need to run that's only available on Windows. What's nice is that Vmware Fusion now supports Bootcamp partitions, so no need to reinstall or buy a second copy of Windows. The Macbook is pretty fast. No problems in this area. I'm surprised to be able to run Vista 64 in Vmware with no major problems. It's not fast, but works well. For me, upgrading to the 2.4ghz version was not needed. 2Ghz is more than enough for me. Three hundred for .4 ghz, backlit keyboard and a 250gb hard drive isn't worth it for me. For some it is, but it just depends on what you need. The display isn't the best, but in my opinion it's much better than most others. I actually have no negatives about the picture quality itself. You can view the display at an angle, but to a point. With my other laptop, you move the display an inch and it's hardly viewable. The glossy screen is of course annoying, but not big of a deal for me. At first I said that i'd never buy a Macbook because it had a terrible "chicklet" keyboard. Once I used it, it's perfectly fine. I should also point out that I absolutely HATE the wireless Apple Keyboard and find it unusable. Yet they're almost the same. Strange isn't it? This one is very good. Perhaps it's all due to a different typing angle. The trackpad is perfect. It's the best one i've ever used. I have not played any games with this yet, but I will soon. I'm sure it will play Half Life 2 and other games just fine. The shared video memory is kind of annoying, but it won't bother me much I think. I really don't know how much of a negative this is. The sound is somewhat tinny, but it's acceptable to me. My old HP 17" monster had great sound for a laptop, but that was a laptop made for gaming. For me, this is just about as perfect as it gets. It just needed eSATA, a bigger hard drive and a lowered price. One hundred less and it'd be a pretty fair price. I will try to update this review with notes if I come across any problems.

A New Hope I bought this toy in a spirit of Hope. Hope in the future. Hope in Democracy. Hope in higher taxes for the rich. I did not expect to receive Hope from Arkansas. While this new toy does not resemble the last toy I received from this manufacturer, I was surprised that it came with many of the same accessories. I mean, would you expect Barbie and Skipper to share Ken? Barack even came with the same baggage the last toy had. But I remain ever hopeful. I truely believe that this toy will deliver. I just wish it would stop asking me for money.

Obama action figure I love it!!! And all my friends, too. I am a 58 year old doll collector.

Great Keepsake I bought two of these. One to keep as a souvenir and one to open. I still haven't been able to open one of them. I think I'll just keep them both as souvenirs. I've seen a lot of Obama merchandise and most items don't resemble him at all. At least with this product they attempted to get some likeness.

Pretty good Beginner Airplane at a bargain price If you want to get started in RC Airplanes this is a pretty good choice because it works and it is inexpensive. I took mine out and got some really nice flights. It has a pretty good range on it. This was with no wind and I recommend you make your first flight session in no or very little wind. When the wind kicked up I had trouble getting it to fly. About the batteries. There is a little battery that you put into the plane to make the prop turn. This can be charged up from the included hand-held transmitter/controller in about ten minutes which is very convenient.(You dont have to go home to charge it back up, just plug it into the transmittter for 10 minutes) The transmitter itself requires 8 AA batteries so make sure you buy some of these. And I recommend rechargeable ones. Durability: This kind of plane needs to be superlight and this one is. The fuselage is a light plastic and the wing unit is a styrofoam. But is reasonably durable; I have had numerous crashes and it is still intact. But the props break sometimes and it comes with 3 extras which you will need. After multiple crashes my plane is still in good shape. Overall: Decent place to start because it is super cheap and it flies. Its going to make you want to upgrade to bigger and better. Makes for a nice saturday afternoon adventure for dad and the kids. Read all the instructions and tips before you fly. It makes a difference. They even have a telephone number you can call and they call it the free flight school. Kind of neat but I didn't need to call it. Flight time: I get somewhere around 10-15 minutes of flight time before it needs a recharge. This probably varies a lot depending on how you fly it.

Fun and easy to fly. I took it to the local middle school and i had it going for close to two minutes and it stayed in the air until i got a little gust of wind and i still got it to land okay. When you are a "noob", as we call it(beginners that fly airhogs) but i mastered airhogs and i can fly it weird in the fact that it is twitchy when you turn. DO AS IT SAYS IN THE OWNERS MANUAL OR YOU MAY CRASH IT!Now that i have said that i think that this is a great toy and i would recommend you buy extra props even though it comes with 3 spares. I am down to my last. When you get one ,if you do,tape your batteries' cover on or you may lose it like i did.But in the end i would recommend this for the intermediate rc pilot.The lights work great, and look forward to some high flying fun!!

He works perfect We have had R2 for 3 years now. He does not get played with all the time but he is still loved. For people having trouble getting him to work, well you need a quiet room, one person talking, speak clear! The one that plays with him more he obeys the best. I don't know if the one review is right when they say they have to turn him off to get him back in the right mode. R2 is very naughty and fights you on purpose. I think he was made this way on purpose. You just have to speak plain and know the beep sounds. You know he is still naughty by his color light and the beep noise. It sort of becomes a battle of the wills. I always win out. He is 75% obedient to my son and 5% to my daughter. The Easter Eggs are the best. Ask R2 if he remembers Princess Leah then ask if he remembers Carrie Fisher. Big difference in responses there. He hates Carrie Fisher. Any reason?

Nervewracking I was given this as a Christmas present, and for a few brief moments I was in a blissful future world where robots wait on my beck and call. Then my fantasy crashed around me as R2, like NS-5 from "I Robot" refused to respond to my commands and fulfilled his true metaphysical purpose. In R2's case, this meant shaking his head and wandering about until he got stuck. R2 resembles his Kenny Baker-driven counterpart down to each blip and responds exactly as he does in the movies--that is, if you're C3PO. From the moment you turn him on, you become R2's very own golden, mobility-challenged whipping boy. Make no mistake, R2D2 is in charge here, not you. Where R2 represents the pinnacle of budget-priced AI is with his attitude. I don't know if my deep voice triggers a frequency monitor or if it's random, but R2 regularly goes into "bad mood" mode and refuses to accept commands with a sassy shake of the head. According to the manual, a command of "behave yourself" will put him back into normal mode, but that only works if R2 thinks you're Luke, which he doesn't. Now, call me a pessimst, but when my car refuses to start, I don't chuckle at its attitude. When my shower drain clogs, it's not endearing. What sort of sadistic person designs a product that is specifically meant to quit working periodically? If the manufacturers would have called it Windows R2, at least they would have given us some kind of warning. I have given R2D2 an educational value of 5 stars because R2 teaches us to enunciate distinctly, hones our punting skills, and shows us the error of making robots in our own image. R2 also receives 5 stars in durability, as he still works as poorly as ever after innumerable kicks, slaps, and body slams.

My daughter is 5 years old and tries to be pretty careful with it, but still manages to spill on the floor. Cleanup for me takes around 10 minutes (skip the broom and use the vacuum). That being said, on most days it's worth the cleanup time. She will sit at the kitchen table, away from the television, and happily/quietly create things out of this sand for a good hour and a half at a time. I like that she's using her imagination, working on fine motor skills and being so creative with it. Granted, there are days when I don't feel like dealing with the clean-up, and on those days I am honest with her - "honey, it's just too messy today & I need the kitchen table to get ready for dinner now." She's old enough to understand that. Usually, though, it's not a big issue. At least for 5 year olds, this sand is worth it.

"No Mess" my A** The commercials and item descriptions for moon sand sayway from it. The learning curve was minimal. In fact, he told me how to use the plungers. He picked one up and immediately started making "treasure" and walls. I gave this 2 stars due to its gigantic mess factor and the fact it's freaking expensive. To sweep half of it up after each play session just makes me cringe. All I can see is money in my dustpan. If my kid didn't like it, I'd be giving it 1 star and taking it back to the store.

It drives UPSIDE DOWN on the ceiling!!! HOW COOL IS THAT? This has got to be the coolest Toy Invention in a very long time! This is an awesome amazing toy that will leave you & your kids WOWed!! While the battery life could be longer, it dies out just when you'd had enough of the noise that comes along with it. I mean seriously parents - do you really want your kid racing this car around the walls and ceilings while your watching tv, doing the laundry, cooking dinner? For 20 minutes it's great and then after that you're happy for the battery to recharge until next time. This is a GENIUS invention & is sure to be a HOT TOY for years to come!

Waste of $$ My 7 year old got this for his birthday. The first one didn't work at all other than making a horrible noise. The second one broke almost immediately. Battery life extremely low and it falls off the wall when the charge runs out. Don't waste yourast me. However, another downfall was the battery life. It is pretty much non-existent. He can only get a few good runs out of it before it dies, and when it DOES die, it literally just drops off the wall wherever it's at.

Best there is! Samsung LN40A650 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color I researched this TV against the SONY 4100W and loved the touch of color when I saw this at BB. The SONY had a silver boarder around the frame that was distracting to me. I love my Samsung TV after having it for only six days now. I was afraid of the shipping horrors reported on this site, but the price was so good I went with Amazon anyway. BB and CC both wanted $1,499.99 plus tax for this TV and would not come down one doallar. Amazon had it for $1,249.99 tax free and free shipping. Yes I know "Free shipping!" After purchasing on Nov 26th, I was given a delivery estimate of 09 Dec. I'm in central CA and the TV came from Reno,NV. I thought immediately this seemed to be a very long two weeks to get to me. One day after my TV shipped it was in Sacramento, about 250 miles from me. I was then given a new delivery date of Thurs 04 Dec. But it was in Sacramento on Sat 29 Dec.at 4:00am. It remained in Sac for three days until Tues 02 Dec where it made it to Fresno, my local delivery area. I called the local CO. for a delivery appointment and was told it was to be delivered Friday 05 Dec. I said "I would not be home then and how about Thursday the original date I was told anyway?" They said OK we will deliver Thursday Dec 04th 12:00pm to 4:00pm. I received my TV as promised on Thursday at 2:30pm. The delivery many asked me if I wanted the white glove routine of remove from box and plug in? I declined because the box was in perfect condition and I was having it installed the next day anyway. I signed for it and the next day Firefox installed it and set up my remote for Direc-TV and I have enjoyed an outstanding picture ever since. I will be getting the HD-DVR and new dish for HD tomorrow and will then have an even more superior picture! The deliver was free and I received the TV on 04 Dec five days earlier than originally promised. What's not to like? Why it had to sit in Sacramanto for three days I have no idea? But I am still very happy with the overall experience. Also I found out there were three manufacture dates of this model TV this year. April I believe had the shutdown problems with some sets, then again in July. After keying in my serial# on the Samsung site, I found out my TV was in November! No problems at all with TV turning itself off after running many hrs. So thank you Amazon for the newest version of this model# and no TAX and free shipping. Thank you to Samsung for a beautiful looking TV set (touch of red is at top and bottom only on this 650, all four sides on the 750) and so far a superior running TV, no problems with anything. No idea why some have complained about the remote?, works fine for me. So five stars for Samsung all the way, this TV is the best one out there for the money as far as I'm concerned! LOOK NO FURTHER!!! If you are shopping for an LCD flat panel TV, look no further. This Samsung 40" model is absolutely awsome and far exceeds my expectations. It has a phenomenal picture and I'm finding it very difficult to watch non HD channels. The TV set up and installation was very simple with an HDMI cable; not so for my HD cable box, but that's another story. The sound is also better than expected. The picture and sound control menus are fairly easy to navigate, and you will want to tweak them, but basic factory settings are very impressive right out of the box. The remote has way too many buttons and features which you can't use, and the instruction manual, typical of many high end electronics products, leaves a lot to be desired. I have given this product 5 stars because of it's overall quality, and Amazon's price makes it a great value. I was not impressed with Pilot Freight, Amazon's shipper of choice. They handed my TV off to a sub-contractor and did not forward any contact information except for my name and address. The shipper, CB Freight had sent me a notice by snail mail asking for further contact information; pitiful. My TV sat in their warehouse for at least 72 hours. The white glove delivery service was fine, and Amazon's customer service was very helpful, but they need better tracking and communication once the product leaves the warehouse. The awsome Samsung television makes up for this shortcoming, but know that it may take a few days longer than expected using Amazon's free shipping. All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend the Samsung LN40A650.

Dead on Arrival DEAD on Arrival. Highly disappointed. Price was great. Shipping was great and TV arrived ahead of time through CEVA in great boxed condition. Switched on the TV to find random lines all over the screen all traversing up to the top right hand corner where they clustered into a small bullet hole-like glass shatter pattern. Switched off the TV and inspected to find that the LCD panel looked fine with no scratches but had an internal smear the size of a thumbnail on the top right. Called Amazon, and they promptly agreed to take it back and issue a complete refund. LCD panels are usually very hardy. So, some robot/widget at the manufacturer that is used to lift and pack the TV used too much force internally shattering the LCD. I really doubt anyone but the manufacturer would have touched this TV after it was packed. So, Samsumg materials handling quality is suspect and I would say dubious. Overall, highly disappointed though Amazon has been cooperative.

it does make a difference I started using the immitation Provection from wallgreen's at much less, i liked it and gave this a try. I really like this stuff, and it is way better than the cheap versions that claim to have the same ingredients. It won't erase time on your face, but it definately stops it! and makes the skin perfect - not oily, not dry, a nice glow. I've been using it for 2 years now-used to get it at GNC which was cheaper than Macy's, have not bought it over line but will as it saves at least $40.00. it is a big tube and lasts a good time, i only need to replace it about 2 times a year. I did try it on stretch marks and noticed nothing so i don't waste it on that anymore, but it does have a nice overall effect on the face especially if you are over 40. I hate their stupid "dumb luck" add, can't see how it sells on that, but i read about older models using this product and like i said tried the cheaper copycat version first which does not do justice to the real thing. Use it 2x a day to see any results. Yes, it's pricey , but it is also 3x the size of most face creams. I also have not used it when traveling, didn't want to pack the big tube, and would definately not feel or look as nice in a matter of days without it. It's not a miracle, but it is pretty neat stuff.

I like it I think that many who have tried Strivectin may have high expectations (because of what Strivectin claims)on the product, like anything else that is sold in the beauty world of products, it will work for some and some not. I like it cause it makes my skin so soft. I didn't expect to totally diminish my wrinkles completely, but it is definitely giving my skin the moisture it needs to look healthy. I have tried many products with no results. I normally do not spend alot on wrinkle creams but once in a while I do. The most was from Shiseido,Clinique, Oil of Olay, Neutrogena, L'Oreal, Lancome, Estee Lauder, etc (they both work great such as making your skin soft, Neutrogena & Oil of Olay did ok but my skin was still dry) I thought I'd try this one to see it would help and it seems to keep the moisture in. It seems to have the ingredients my skin likes so I am happy with it. It is expensive but it lasts for a while, you don't need to put too much on. From what I have learned and will have to expect that aging is a part of our life, I have a hard time facing it myself! I think if you really want to rid/diminish of your wrinkles, you might have to end up in a plastic surgeons office and even then nothing is guaranteed and there are risks and it's not a one time shot, you have to keep it up. I would also recommend healthy eating habits and lifestyle too to help the insides make the outsides look healthy too but your genetics also play a key role on how you age, etc.

It's close to Botox I started using Strivectin last year. One of my good friends works for a major cosmetic company and she states this product is better than anything they sell on their shelf. In 2 weeks I saw a major difference in my skin. My skin just kept getting better and better. At 49 I'll put my skin next to a 30 y/o any day. I never really had any major wrinkles as I stayed out of the sun as a young lady, but I saw a tightening and brightening of my skin. Before I started using it, I felt like my face looked tired all the time. I stopped using the product for a couple of months and I noticed a big difference in my skin. It's well worth the price. Of course, not everyone is going to see a difference but I did. I was highly skeptical due to the hefty price tag. I care about how I look and let's face it, looks count in some areas. I don't expect to look 25 but I want to look as good as I can for my age.

Super Squish We got this toy for our then 3 month old son. It is bright and colourful and easy for him hold, shake and chew on. It is easily his favourite toy. I find oit durable, educational and versatile. Perfect present for a baby shower or a young baby.

Looks pretty but does not provide much play and fun for my baby This is a nicely done and durable toy that provides little opportunity and creativity for play and does not interest my baby at all. The only thing it does, is bending according to the strings and bouncing back into its original shape. I bought it for my baby when she was six months old and now, two months later, she has maybe played a total of 2 hours with it. Save your money and invest it in something more useful, e.g. wooden building blocks.

Good Toy. This does have some entertainment value, but it isn't holding my baby's attention for long, but then at 10 months nothing much does! He likes to sit shaking it to hear the chiming sound and then will put it down after a minute or so to play with something else. He does go back to it though often during play and the gentle sound does make him giggle! It is a toy that I will be taking with me on a plane trip as the sound level is minimal and so shouldn't upset the other passengers during the day. Probably not a good choice for a nighttime flight though. It seems to be well made but only time will tell, like most things it has already spent some time in his mouth and his 6 teeth have yet to really have an impact. Apart from the colours I really can't see that it has much educational value but at 10 months that doesn't matter as much as entertainment. A good toy for the money.

excellent for what it is i am writing this review from this machine, using a wireless connection while i am on the go. it's exactly what it was meant to do. it's not for heavy computing of course, but for email, web browsing, etc, it's perfect. SO portable, comes with a little sleeve, the color is less cotton candy than i expected so i was pleasantly surprised. (i chose pink because at the time it seemed to be the one in stock at best price). keyboard slightly smaller than normal one so takes minor adjustment. no problems picking up internet, wireless and my home dsl wired connection. i haven't yet tried any spreadsheets or documents but will do. i loaded a lot of photos, some mp3's and some videos and no problem with anything. the sd card reader is also handy because i can pull the card from my cell phone or camera on the run. if you are looking for exactly this, internet, email and basic computing on the run without having some tiny thing in the palm of your hand, but not schlepping around a heavy notebook--this is perfect for you!!! it's inexpensive and decent quality. happy with battery life so far too. OH almost forgot, the webcam is a nice little bonus too. i'm always snapping pics with camera/phone and here's another easy way to take pics and wirelessly upload to share the moment.

Great little laptop! I received my Acer Aspire One just about a week ago, and I'm hooked! PROS: It really is amazing how small it is. I can fit it into my purse and I forget it's there. The battery life is very convenient (5.5 hours, so I don't have to carry cables around), and the video quality is very good. I have streamed TV episodes and watched iTunes videos, and it works great. Also, there is so much space on the hard drive that I can fill it up with music and movies with no problem. The built-in camera and mic work well with Skype. Also, just as a side note, as a woman, I am glad to finally have a feminine looking piece of electronics. The pink color is subdued and not at all inappropriate for professional use. There are other colors, though: black, brown, white, and blue. CONS: The keyboard is quite small, so you need to have small hands. You can get used to it, though. With just a little practice, I am already typing away very quickly with only a few errors. The mouse buttons are placed on the side and are inconvenient, so I just use tapping and that takes care of that problem. The case that came with it doesn't afford much protection, but there are a few options online that can fit this model. Overall, it is a great choice for a second laptop, and it lives up to the hype. You can't get any more mobile and affordable than this with this kind of quality and capacity. I am very happy with this purchase.

Best Mini Laptop I have found I bought an Asus 901 and an Asus 904 because my existing laptop, although great, is just too heavy for me to carry around all day at the courthouses. This review is for the 904, with a 160 GB Hard drive, Windows XP Home, 1 GB RAM, and 1.6 GH processor. I have had the 904 for 2 weeks now and am thrilled by it. Boots fast (1 minute 45 seconds) and only weighs 3 pounds 1 ounce (according to my postage meter scale). This is less than half the weight of my old laptop. The 904 has a VGA output port, which allows me to use a bigger monitor or TV if I do not want to use the 8.9 inch display in the unit itself. Surfing the Internet and getting my email on the go is no problem for this 904. Unit appears sturdy and is very quiet in operation. Has a built in web cam for video conferences and 2 speakers tucked under the front edge. Has 2 mics at the bottom of the screen display. If you listen to music a lot I would not recommend this laptop or netbook unless you are willing and able to install external speakers (an external mic and headphone jack is built in). Best battery life I have gotten so far is 5 hours, but I do not use power saving mode so you may do better. This is a 12 volt model which in theory means with the right adapter you could run it off the cigarette lighter in your car (thus far I have just used it off battery and the included AC adapter). Has 3 USB ports. At $350, I believe I got a great bargain. Keyboard is not full size, but not mini either. Sort of in the middle, but I have big hands and it works for me. An additional option would be to buy a portable (folding) full size key board and just run it off the USB port. Very happy. 5 stars

Great little computer! I've had my 904HA for about 2 weeks now (I'm typing this review on it). It's my first netbook/laptop, although I am the default techie for my wife's compaq laptop and have used the office laptops periodically. I must say that I am more than happy. I get about 6 hours battery life surfing the net or playing games with the wifi on (brightness at about 75%). I've been able to put a "virtual drive" which allows me to run some old games I have, and I've copied over all the MP3s from my MP3 player to have on the road with me. The only negative I can report is the oddly placed right shift key, but I really haven't noticed this to be much of an issue (I tend to shift with my left hand 99% of the time anyway). Since I received the 904HA, I have only used my desktop computer one or two times. Eric

Super fast and easy to use, great little computer!! ;>) I purchased this from Amazon.com, shipped on monday, received on wednesday, free shipping, how good is that ;>)) I like a couple of others here initially ordered the 900 model and quickly cancelled it and chose the 904HA, mainly because of battery life and also the larger keyboard, my fingers are not small ;>) First, let me say everything you are reading about this little, no, tiny computer is true, I am amazed at how fast XP loads up, boom, XP is loaded. Don't worry about not having a CDROM drive, if you have a desktop or notebook and a wireless network, just make that drive shared, right click on the other computers CD/DVD drive and click on SHARE. You may have to shut down your firewire in IE or McAfee or what ever you are using for security software but after that it's easy. I am loading a program from my desktop to "tiny" right now as we speak, couldn't be easier. The keyboard is really nice, a little larger than the 900 model and so my large fingers are able to type pretty easily. The screen is bright and I'll go to Netflix tomorrow and watch a few movies on the battery to see what kind of battery life I get, I anticipate about 5+ hours though, pretty nice. I highly recommend this "tiny" notebook, easy to carry, looks great (I have the black glossy model) and is really a fast computer. For the price, you won't be disappointed! UPDATE 12-02-08 I watched a couple of movies via Netflix and the battery life was right at 5 hours. This is with the screen about 75% and volume about 40%, the wireless was left on to view the downloaded movies, otherwise, if the wireless is turned off, the battery life would be probably 20% longer life. The battery warning light came on after about 5 hours and showed to have about 20 minutes left. I would imagine you could realistically get close to 6 hours battery life with the screen down to say 50%, wireless turned off and working on spreadsheets, documents, etc., even emails and other things on the web.

What happened to the Anti-Fog? You can use them but don't sweat. I was removing a pop corn ceiling and had to take them off because I could not see.

dewalt glasses, so so these glasses do fit nicely, and they are anti-fog to some extent. they are not as good at deflecting fog as i had hoped. they do quickly defog when i drop them around my neck. a good value. they keep debris from my eyes very well. dont buy them expecting no fog though.

Better then I thought The Dewalt Anti-Fog goggles worked better then I thought. From sanding drywall to cutting wood they worked great. The negative part about the goggles was that I thought they scratched to easily.

The BEST Consumer Laser Tag Possible - Recommended! The "Lasertag Multiplayer Battle System" is by far the best consumer grade Laser Tag we have ever seen! Having tried many laser tag systems over the years, and always being disappointed with the range or accuracy, I only had marginal hopes that this system would prove any better but this time I was pleasantly surprised with the option, quality, and performance. The features found in this system rival those in the "professional" Laser Tag arena my son (12), daughter (16), wife (47), and I (44) play a few times a month. Highlights include:
* Great Accuracy
* Great Range
* Team Play (very cool feature!)
* Rumble Pack (provides vibration feedback)
* Hit Selector (evens out the odds when play with less experienced opponents)
* Manual "Reload" (another very cool feature adding realism)

The system is also a video game as the gun can also be attached to a video unit and connected to a TV (old style tube TV, not Plasma or LCD). The game play is OK and fun, but shouldn't be the reason to buy this system. We liked this so much that we ended up buying two sets (total of 4 guns) and are considering buying another set so we have more players! Highly recommended!

Fantastic toy for kids and adults alike This toy is fantastic for kids and adults alike. Everything to set up a game is by switches on the toy, choose your strength of 10 or 25, choose team 1 or team 2 to play team games or choose solo for everyone versus everyone, press the trigger, wait for the count down and you are good to go. They include a very accurate green dot site as well as vibrations to let you know when you are hit and a recoil with each shot you fire for real feeling. The grip is very ergodynamic for both adults and kids. Adults won't find it too small, and kids won't find it too big. The shotblast attachment allows you to set up a shot gun type shot that allows you to hit multiple people if they are in close range to you or hit a single person with multiple tags. Unlike other tagging systems in the past, this system actually works remarkably well on indoor mode. The risk of getting "bounce shots" off of walls with this system is relatively low. The game can also be set to outdoor mode. On outdoor mode you can tag other players up to 300 feet away in full sunlight. I encourage anyone who is looking at getting lasertag toys for their kids or adults looking for a new sport to purchase these toys. You won't regret it.

Fun for the whole family We bought two sets, and the whole family has had an absolute blast playing Lazer Tag. My kids are 8 and 5, and even the 5 year old mastered the game in no time. It's great to get everyone running around the yard at night (they also work in full daylight or inside). The range on these things is 300 feet or so, so you can play over a very large area. The TV game is so-so, but it's much more fun to play outside anyway. Also, I will say that the taggers have held up very well so far under typical kid conditions.

Not that great.. In store, it looked neat & I was happy when my inlaws bought it for our son last Christmas when he was a newborn, but I figured by 6 months he'd be ready to enjoy it. I was wrong, as he's now a year old & still doesn't really care for it. The songs are catchy, it runs on carpet, but that's about it. The animals that come with it aren't really much of anything & have very little movememnt with them, my son actually isn't a fan of the clicking noise they make. He's enjoyed putting others things in the train, but that's about it. Doesn't seem to care about the music or the movement, even when we've showed him. Overall, it's one of those dreadful in the way toys that always end up under your feet. After Christmas, I look foward to finally being able to pack the train away just to have it out of the way.

Would buy another one !! I bought the "sing and Go Choo Choo" for my grandson (18 months). He absolutely loved it !! He could remove the animals from the train and place them wherever he wanted. This toy kept him busy for at least 20 minutes !! And the song is great and entertaining.

A super Fun cho cho We got this cho cho train for our little girl on her 1 yr b'day. She loves it. She is 18 months now, and still play with the train & the animal a lot, now she can name all 3 of them.

Good quality at a good price. I own an Omron blood pressure monitor and an Omron pedometer in addition to the HR-100C heart rate monitor and I find all three to be good quality products. I use the heart rate monitor when I exercise on an exercycle (the monitor that came with the Schwinn exercycle stopped working years ago), and keeping an eye on it motivates me to work harder to get into a specific target zone. Using it has taught me that although I may feel that I am working out at the level I want, my heart rate doesn't necessarily reflect that, and I actually need to be pushing harder. So the feedback the 100C gives me about what is actually happening with one aspect of my physiology versus what I may imagine is happening is most helpful to me. There exist some electronic devices that I am either too lazy or too dense to program, but I found the Omron 100C watch incredibly easy to set up. This may be partly due to the fact that Omron's manuals are, in my experience, clearly written. I own some electronic products that I can't use unless I remind myself how by referring to the manual, but the 100C is for me intuitive. If I push the wrong button when trying to get the heart monitor readout to appear, it's not a problem, for it does not create a situation where I have to go through umpteen steps to undo something. I just press another button until I see the readout I need. The same is the case with setting the alarm and turning it on and off. It's simple and intuitive enough that I don't need to consult the instruction manual. I do find the watch's light a tad feint, but it's bright enough to see in dim light or the dark and that's all that matters, and maybe it was designed to be dim to conserve battery power. The rubber accessory that comes with the 100C that allows the user to put the watch on the handlebars of a bike, etc., is very convenient and sturdy. I compared the heart rate reading I got on the 100C matched against the heart rate reading I got on my Omron blood pressure monitor (which is model HEM-780) by wearing each at the same time and the readings I got differed by two beats (one was 75 and the other 77 as I recall). That is close enough to be of no concern to me. I've owned and regularly used the 100C for nearly a month, and I've had no problems with it. I consider Omron a trustworthy name and I am pleased with their products, and I am pleased with the HR-100C and recommend it to anyone who wants a fairly inexpensive heart rate monitor made by a reliable manufacturer.
Cheap and functional Works well, seems quite durable too. You have to get a snug fit around your chest, but unlike the manual adviing exercise. The price is great too!
